  • 25 APRIL 2012 - PHOENIX, AZ: STEVE LOPEZ, from Glendale, AZ, prays the rosary during a vigil against SB1070 at the Arizona State Capitol Wednesday. Immigrants' rights groups opposed to SB1070 and Tea Party affiliated groups that support SB1070 gathered at the state capitol in Phoenix Wednesday to express their opposition and support of the bill. SB1070 was signed by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer in April 2010. At the time it was the toughest anti-illegal immigration bill in the country. Immigrants' rights groups sued Arizona and the federal courts stopped enforcement of the bill. The bill ended up in the US Supreme Court which heard arguments Wednesday.   • 24 OCTOBER 2020 - DES MOINES, IOWA: A Spanish speaking Latino voter outreach worker with the Biden campaign talks to a voter at a Biden/Harris "Get Out the Vote" event at La Tapatia in Des Moines. Democrats and Republicans held rival Get Out the Vote (GOTV) events in Des Moines Saturday. Democrats and the Biden/Harris campaign held a voter registration and early balloting events at a Mexican grocery store to mobilize the Latino community and then marched to the Polk County Auditor's Office to support early voting efforts.
