04 FEBRUARY 2011 - PHOENIX, AZ: AMBER BILLINGS, from Phoenix, cuts the hair of homeless US Army vet at the Arizona StandDown in Phoenix Friday. The vet said it was his first haircut in about 10 years. The Arizona StandDown is an annual three day event that brings together the Valley's homeless and at-risk military veterans, connecting them with services ranging from: VA HealthCare, mental health services, clothing, meals, emergency shelter, transitional and permanent housing, ID/ drivers license's, court services and Legal Aide, showers, haircuts and myriad other services and resources.
