This was the scene at Government House in Bangkok today. Thai authorities have imposed the Internal Security Act (ISA), that enables police to call on the army if needed to keep order. The government has also placed thousands of riot police in the streets around Government House in anticipation of a large anti-government protest Saturday. The group sponsoring the protest, Pitak Siam, said up to 500,000 people could turn out to protest against the government.
