18 JANUARY 2017 - BANGKOK, THAILAND: A traditional Chinese calligrapher draws New Years greetings that she sells in Bangkok's Chinatown district, before the celebration of the Lunar New Year. Chinese New Year, also called Lunar New Year or Tet (in Vietnamese communities) starts Saturday, 28 January. The coming year will be the "Year of the Rooster." Thailand has the largest overseas Chinese population in the world; about 14 percent of Thais are of Chinese ancestry and some Chinese holidays, especially Chinese New Year, are widely celebrated in Thailand.
